Princess Diana wanted to do THIS minutes before her death

Princess Diana called someone before her tragic death, and she offered a last wish which was never granted.

A new documentary explored the story of Princess Diana and the finals moments before her death. The flick, tiled Diana, revealed that a longtime reporter and friend of the late princess received the last call from her.

Per Richard Kay, the police told him that the Princess of Wales made her last call by dialing his number. He recalled how she told him she was “in a quite good place.” Still, the princess informed him she wanted to return to see her children.

“She was desperate to try and make a fresh start and do something different,” he recalled, as quoted by Mirror UK. “To explore a different kind of royalty.”

At the time of the accident, Prince William was just 15 and Prince Harry was 12.

The Princess of Wales spent the last hours of her life with Dodi Fayed. Throughout their entire vacation, the paparazzi tried to follow the two. After spending days touring in the middle of the sea, they went back to the Ritz Hotel owned by Fayed’s father.

Upon arriving, Princess Diana called her children not knowing it would be the last time she would hear their voices.

On August 31, they drove back to Fayed’s apartment. However, the Mercedes they were riding on collided with a concrete pillar in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel.

Fayed and Ritz’s security employee Henri Paul died on the scene. Their bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones, and the royal princess were the only ones breathing.

Princess Diana’s Last Moment

In a 2017 documentary Diana, 7 Days, Princess Diana’s sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale revealed that the royal did not put on a seatbelt that night.

The rescue became tough for everyone that they used an electric chainsaw just to recover her from the scene. Dr. Frederic Maillez, a doctor who happened to be driving on the same road, gave her first-aid and attempted to stabilize her.

Unfortunately, the royal’s health status deteriorated while being transported to Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital. She was already unconscious but her heart continued to beat.

One and a half after the crash, the surgeons performed a cardiac massage while trying to reconnect the blood vessels near her heart. The Princess of Wales did not make it and passed away at 4:00 a.m.
