Meghan Markle has reportedly added another influential name to her growing list of enemies after missing out on a major role.

The Duchess of Sussex, who gave up acting after marrying Prince Harry, is said to have wanted a glittering comeback. Instead, sources claim she may have turned one of Britain’s most influential directors against her, and insiders say this could be her most damaging fallout yet.

For weeks, there was speculation that Meghan would appear in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen. Her friends reportedly accused the streaming giant of exploiting her name for publicity.

Hollywood insiders, however, told journalist Rob Shuter a different story. “Meghan was delighted when everyone thought Guy Ritchie wanted her,” one source said.

The source added, “She enjoyed every headline. But once it became clear there was no role, the story suddenly changed from Hollywood comeback to Hollywood betrayal!”

According to the journalist, who cited his sources, the former Suits star spoke with the show’s casting director but never received a formal offer. The reported sequence of events suggests the buzz around her possible involvement was never backed by an actual job.

Other media outlets have also reported that the show’s organisers declined to make any such move. They reportedly felt they did not need Prince Harry’s wife to generate publicity or promote a series that is already a hit.
