Lily Allen Sparks Concern After Ditching Wedding Ring and Revealing Eating Struggle
0Lily Allen, 39, has sparked concern after seemingly ditching her wedding ring while candidly revealing she’s been going through a “tough time.” The pop star, who co-hosts the Miss Me? podcast alongside her close friend Miquita Oliver, recently featured Miquita’s mother, Andi Oliver, as a guest. In a video shared on Lily’s Instagram, fans quickly noticed her bare hands, as both her engagement and wedding rings were missing. A representative for Lily has been contacted for comment.
Lily’s ring-free appearance comes amid her admissions of personal struggles and time apart from her husband, Stranger Things star David Harbour, 49. The couple co-parent Lily’s two daughters, Ethel Mary, 12, and Marnie Rose, 11, alongside her ex-husband Sam Cooper.
Recently, Lily revealed she’s been facing mental health challenges that have also affected her eating habits. Speaking openly on her podcast, she admitted, “I’ve been going through a tough time over the last few months, and my eating has become an issue. My therapist and I talk about it, and she says, ‘How long has this been going on?’ And I said, ‘Well, about three years really.’ And she’s like, ‘Okay, why haven’t you mentioned it before?'”
Lily explained that the issue had never seemed significant enough to address. “It’s not because I’m lying about it. It’s just because it’s not seemed at the top of the list of important things that I need to talk about, but obviously, it is.”
She also touched on her ADHD, noting how it affects her awareness of her physical well-being: “I’m not really good at talking about the bigger picture… My body and my brain are two very separate things to me. I spend a lot of time in my head and not a lot of time thinking about my body.”
Lily added, “I’m really not in a great place mentally at the moment, and I’m not eating. I’m not hungry. I obviously am hungry, but my body and brain are so disconnected… I’m just not thinking about it because I’m so in my head. My body’s, like, a few steps behind me.”
Last month, she also revealed feeling overwhelmed by parenting alone when David is away. Lily described moments of temporary relief when leaving her kids after long stretches of solo parenting: “Sometimes when I’ve been in New York with the kids for a month and David hasn’t been around… I’ll get out of the door and just… ahhh,” she said, letting out a huge exhale.
However, Lily confessed the guilt that follows: “I’ll get out the door and half an hour later I feel guilty. Not even half an hour, 20 minutes, maybe 10, maybe five, maybe as soon as I walk across the threshold I’m enjoying myself but I feel guilt.”
While Lily continues to open up about her struggles, her honesty about mental health and parenting has resonated with many fans. The absence of her wedding ring, though, leaves lingering questions about the state of her relationship with Harbour.
