KVD Beauty Foundation Balm Soars in Popularity with Skincare Enthusiasts

London, Jan 31, 2025 — The KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm has become a bestseller at Boots, experiencing a significant surge in demand over the past two and a half years. During her tenure at the Boots beauty hall, former employee revealed that this foundation was one of the most frequently sold items, often being sold out week after week.

Originally launched by tattoo artist and beauty mogul Kat Von D, the brand was rebranded as KVD Vegan Beauty after being acquired by Kendo Brands in 2020. The Good Apple foundation debuted a year later and quickly gained viral status on TikTok, praised for its unique balm texture and full coverage finish that “minimizes the look of pores”, reported by Liverpool Echo.

Priced at £34, the foundation is currently available at a discounted rate of £23.80 at Boots and £27.20 at LookFantastic. Designed to offer full coverage while maintaining a natural, hydrated appearance, the Good Apple foundation aims to make the skin “look like skin,” effectively covering imperfections, tattoos, and discolorations without appearing overly made up. It is available in a range of shades including light, medium, tan, and deep.

Although the product remains elusive for firsthand testing due to its high demand, the foundation has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from customers. One user, Cheyenne, shared: “I’ve tried every foundation and this one is unbeatable. I have very dry skin but this foundation isn’t bad for me. So full coverage it lasts for longer as you only need a little bit. My favourite part about it is that it wears well throughout the day, almost gets better the longer you wear it.”

Another customer, Sarah, raved: “Best foundation I’ve ever used! Great coverage but light/thin product. Every other foundation on me transfers or separates throughout the day but this doesn’t. Going to buy this forever.”

Samantha added: “Absolutely love this product! It blends like butter and feels like satin on the skin. Definitely one of the best products I’ve bought in a long time. Plus the brush I bought with it is amazing as well because I bought the bundle. I highly recommend doing that.”

However, not all feedback is positive. Some shoppers have struggled with finding the perfect shade. Leanne commented: “The formula itself is great, however the shade was way off. I have fair neutral skin but this made me look like a ghost.”

Kathleen found the product too thick: “This product is a little thick and cakey. It does conceal imperfections, however. I definitely remember it feeling thick when I put some on the back of my hand, so this might be something to consider.”

For those seeking alternatives, Space NK offers the Monika Blunder Beauty Cover Foundation/Concealer currently 40% off, while Jones Road features the £42 What The Foundation for a softer coverage. A more budget-friendly option is the No7 Beauty Balm Tinted Skin Veil SPF15 40ml available for £15.95.

As KVD Beauty continues to innovate and meet consumer demands, its Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm remains a favorite among makeup enthusiasts seeking both coverage and a natural finish.
