Prince Harry Fell Out William

Prince Harry made ‘dig’ at nannies used by William and Kate when Archie was born

Experts recently sat down to discuss the incoming hoard of nannies that will grace Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s doorsteps once newborn baby arrives.

According to the details, Prince Harry made a sarcastic remark about Prince William and Kate Middleton’s use of a traditional nanny when Archie was born, according to a royal commentator interviewed for a new documentary.

The pair does not want an old-fashioned “Mary Poppins” sort of woman bringing up their child, said Omid Scobie, who co-wrote Harry and Meghan’s biography Finding Freedom.

But although the couple decided the elite service wasn’t right for them, they still found it difficult to settle on an alternative.

Interviewed for the Channel 4 documentary A Very Royal Baby, Omid said: “I remember speaking to a source close to Harry who said when they welcomed Archie into the world, they did not want a sort of Mary Poppins type of character around their child as he or she grew up.

“I would take that as a slight dig at the Norland nanny style.”

It is not known if the couple currently employ a nanny in California, but it has been reported that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, plays a big role in supporting the couple as they bring up Archie.

The Sussexes are expecting their second child, a daughter, this year. The due date is not known, but it is believed Meghan is in her third trimester.
