Prince William keeping a promise he made months ago at the palace party warms hearts

Prince William, the Prince of Wales, has fulfilled a promise to visit a food bank in Moss Side, Manchester, which he had made to Wendy Simms, a woman who runs the facility. Their initial interaction occurred at a Buckingham Palace garden party earlier in May, where Wendy, a member of the local Rastafarian community, was recognized for her contributions to the community.

During their meeting at the garden party, Wendy invited Prince William to visit the Keeping It Real 24/7 food bank, and he agreed. Despite some skepticism from others, Wendy remained confident that the Prince would honor his commitment to visit Moss Side.

True to his word, Prince William arrived at the food bank, surprising Wendy and the volunteers with his presence. He acknowledged the wait, saying, “It’s been a while Wendy, I told you I’d come and see you.” He also brought a thoughtful gift—a basket filled with Jamaican foods like okra, yams, and dragon fruit, which are not always readily available in the UK, told Manchester Evening News.

The food bank is part of a broader organization that also includes The Hideaway Youth Project. This initiative provides various activities and clubs aimed at helping young people lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Prince William actively participated in the food preparation at the bank. He helped chop ingredients like okra, onion, and sweet pepper for a fish stew and a Jamaican specialty, Sunday Soup. He worked alongside Morris Hall and Donovan Beach, both originally from Jamaica, who expressed their delight and surprise at seeing a royal family member up close.

On a lighter note, Prince William was recently named the world’s hottest bald man in a survey conducted by Reboot, an SEO Data agency. The survey considered factors like golden ratio facial proximity, voice attractiveness, global search interest, and cranial shine factor. William scored high in voice attractiveness (9.91) and shine factor (8.90), beating out other well-known celebrities. This recognition comes after he was dethroned in the previous year’s poll by Vin Diesel, known for the Fast and Furious series.
