Vanessa Feltz’s New Show Sparks Backlash—Viewers All Have the Same Complaint After Her ‘This Morning’ Exit

Vanessa Feltz officially launched her brand new daytime talk show on Channel 5 today, marking a fresh chapter after more than three decades on This Morning. But while fans were curious to see what the TV veteran would bring to the table, there was one thing viewers couldn’t stop commenting on – and it wasn’t the interviews.

The show kicked off at 12:30 pm, with Vanessa chatting to her first guest, Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan. But as the cameras rolled, social media lit up with people all asking the same question: What’s with all the pink?

“#vanessa why all the pink?” one viewer tweeted. Another added, “The Vanessa show is all very pink #Vanessa.” And a third joked, “#vanessa omg in the pink!! Way too much. Is she wearing her curtains too?”, reported the Mirror.

The bright and bubbly set certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Some viewers even joked that it looked like Channel 5 had raided the old Big Brother storage, pointing out the similarities between Vanessa’s studio and the famously flamboyant Diary Room. “I feel like I’m in the BB18 house,” one person tweeted. Another shared a throwback pic of the pink sofa from Celebrity Big Brother season 20 with the caption: “The evil Channel 5 bringing back this monstrosity.”

Still, if anyone knows how to have fun with a bit of controversy, it’s Vanessa. While reading messages live on air, she didn’t miss a beat when a particularly savage viewer piped up. Quoting one comment, Vanessa said, “James Martin says, ‘I would rather someone scooped my eyes out with a spoon.’” Her response? Pure gold.

“It turns out we actually have a spoon here, which I’m going to send to you, and you can personally scoop out your eyes with it, James. We’re going to post it to you right now,” she quipped with a grin.

Vanessa’s move to Channel 5 is a big one. Speaking to the Daily Star, she opened up about leaving This Morning after a whopping 33 years. “I’ve been on This Morning since 1992. It’s been a long time,” she said. “But I’m now doing my own show and I can’t do both.”

Despite the pink overload and a few raised eyebrows, Vanessa’s clearly loving her new role. And while not everyone’s sold on the set, there’s no doubt she’s bringing her signature spark to daytime TV all over again.
