Furious ITV This Morning Fans Spot Surprising Detail and Flood Show with Complaints Moments In

This Morning fans have sparked lively debate, speculating that the latest episode of the popular ITV show may not have been broadcast live, according to the Express. The controversy began with the December 30 episode, which featured Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary hosting—an unexpected pairing that raised eyebrows and fueled online theories.

Fans quickly took to social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter), to express their doubts about the episode’s authenticity. Many cited Hammond’s prior announcement that she would be on a break from the show until January due to her role in the Birmingham Hippodrome’s pantomime, Peter Pan.

One viewer commented: “This feels prerecorded still #ThisMorning,” while another declared, “#ThisMorning Right, definitely prerecorded.” Others pointed out logistical challenges, questioning how Hammond could be live in London and still make it to her 2:30 p.m. performance in Birmingham, reports the Mirror.

A skeptical fan noted: “Alison is doing panto today at 14:30… in Birmingham. Are we led to believe that she will make it from this live show in London in time? #ThisMorning.” Another added: “Yeah, this is deffo prerecorded. Bet they’re not back till the new year now. Why don’t they just take it off till it’s back live? #ThisMorning.”

Frustration grew further as viewers noticed the episode included recycled interviews from the show’s archives, featuring stars like Jon Bon Jovi and Shania Twain. One disgruntled fan tweeted: “We’re now being shown a pre-recording of a pre-recording… #ThisMorning.” Another vented: “Not more past interviews. We didn’t enjoy them then, and we’re still not enjoying them now. Sort it out. #ThisMorning.”

Despite the uproar, Hammond appeared to confirm that the episode was indeed live. During the broadcast, she told co-host Dermot O’Leary that she would be performing in a pantomime later that day, mentioning her scheduled shows “this afternoon and this evening” at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

The confusion seems to have stemmed from Hammond’s announcement weeks earlier that she would take a hiatus from This Morning until January. This announcement left fans believing she would not appear on the show during her pantomime run. Currently, Hammond stars as The Magical Mermaid in Peter Pan, a production that runs until February 2, 2025.

Despite the mix-up, Hammond continues to captivate audiences, both on stage and on screen, maintaining her reputation as one of Britain’s most beloved TV personalities.
