Prince Harry Made His “Intentions Clear” That He Wants Lilibet Christened at Windsor in Front of the Queen
0Wondering if/when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter Lilibet might be christened? Apparently, the royal couple is hoping that the event will happen at Windsor—in front of Harry’s grandmother the Queen.
According to The Daily Mail, Harry went ahead and made his “intentions clear” during his trip home to England for Princess Diana’s statue unveiling—where he reunited with Prince William for the first time since Prince Philip’s funeral.
“Harry told several people that they want to have Lili christened at Windsor, just like her brother,’ a source said. “They are happy to wait until circumstances allow.”
Lili’s christening could be the first time that Meghan Markle returns to England since stepping down from senior royal duties and moving to America.
She was unable to attend Prince Philip’s funeral as her doctor advised her not to travel and was unable to go with Prince Harry to Diana’s statue unveiling due to having just given birth.
TBD on when Lili’s christening could be, but it’ll likely be a private event—just like the christening of Meghan and Harry’s son Archie back in 2019. That said, an official photo was released of the Duke, Duchess, and Archie with their families!
In the caption, Meghan and Harry noted that Archie “was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their firstborn and celebrating this special moment.
Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie.” – yahoo
