Prince Harry’s Hilarious Tattoo Prank with Jelly Roll Leaves Fans Wondering ‘Did He Really Get Inked?’

Prince Harry surprised fans with a comedic twist in a new video, revealing a playful moment with country music star Jelly Roll. The video, shared by the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 Instagram account, featured the Duke of Sussex pretending to get his first-ever tattoo—courtesy of Jelly Roll—during a visit to a tattoo parlor in New York City.

According to BBC, the lighthearted clip was likely filmed during Prince Harry’s solo trip to NYC in September when he was spotted at East Side Ink, a parlor famous for tattooing stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson. The video served as an announcement for Jelly Roll headlining the Invictus Games’ closing ceremony in February 2025.

The scene begins with Prince Harry waiting at the parlor, jokingly unsure about what’s to come. Jelly Roll bursts in, exclaiming, “Do you know I could not believe it when they told me Prince Harry wanted to get a tattoo? This is the coolest thing ever!” Harry, visibly amused, pushes back, saying, “No, I came here to ask you to do the Invictus Games. There’s no tattoo in this. I can’t get a tattoo!”

The banter escalates as Jelly Roll playfully convinces Harry to let him ink his neck, offering, “I’ll play the Invictus Games if you let me give you your first tattoo.” Laughing, Harry agrees, quipping, “I was thinking my lower back or on my ass,” to which Jelly Roll replies, “Nobody wants to see your ass, Harry!”

The tattoo gun buzzes as Jelly Roll jokes about his “practically, pretty much” experience, adding, “This is going to be huge, man.” Harry, feeling the pressure, nervously asks for a small tattoo but soon exclaims in mock horror, “It feels big, man!” When he sees the result in the mirror, Harry is shocked to discover Jelly Roll’s name inked on his neck. “Is that your name? You put your name on my neck?!”

The hilarious moment ends with Jelly Roll declaring, “The Invictus Games are enormous,” leaving Prince Harry laughing and visibly flustered.

The video cleverly highlights the camaraderie and humor behind the scenes of the Invictus Games, which Harry founded in 2014 to support wounded veterans. The seventh iteration of the Games will take place in Vancouver and Whistler from February 8 to 16, 2025, with Jelly Roll’s closing performance being a much-anticipated event.

Fans were quick to note that Prince Harry appeared in public shortly after—tattoo-free—making the playful video a perfect mix of humor and promotion for the Invictus Games.
