Hyundai Motor Company has launched the third annual iteration of Re: Style, a recycling fashion project that uses materials discarded in the auto manufacturing process and sheds light on the company’s sustainable business beyond the automotive industry.
Re: Style 2021 launches in Seoul and Paris in collaboration with the premium fashion stores L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop. The unique collaboration between the three companies underscores Hyundai Motor’s ever-growing commitment to environmentally friendly production, creative external collaboration, and interaction with environmentally conscious consumers. In particular, Hyundai Motor’s partnerships with L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop reflect the joint commitment of the two fashion companies to environmentally friendly manufacturing and the provision of easily accessible and wearable fashion products.

Twelve fashion products, including tracksuits, sweatshirts, zip-up hoodies, shorts, and long pants, are available in limited numbers in the online and offline stores of L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop. Offline shops run for two weeks from October 14th to 28th, online shops (URL OF THE ONLINE STORES: leclaireur.com, civillage.com) for four weeks until November 10th.
At this year’s Re: Style, residual materials from automobile production were used, such as airbags and seat belts. Additionally, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 uses eco-friendly materials such as bio-PET and recycled fibers that increase wearability and demonstrate the potential of biomaterials for use in fashion and beyond.

Proceeds from the sale of these products will benefit various sustainable projects as Hyundai Motor joins this cause based on the mutual commitment of L’Eclaireur and BoontheShop. An online video (HyundaiWorldwide – YouTube) with actress Doona Bae, actor KyoHwan Koo and virtual influencer Shudu, all wearing Re: Style elements, illuminates the purpose and philosophy of the campaign.
