Meghan Markle ‘Stressed’, ‘Takes a Step Back’ as She Urges Prince Harry to ‘Step Up’ Amid Deal Setbacks

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is reportedly experiencing stress as numerous deals with major brands have unraveled, prompting her to encourage Prince Harry to intensify his efforts.

The couple, who stepped back from their senior roles in the British Royal Family in 2020 and relocated to the US, initially embraced their Hollywood lifestyle with high-profile contracts with Spotify, Netflix, and Penguin Random House. Despite these lucrative agreements, the pair’s partnership with Spotify came to a mutual end in 2023, as reported by the Mirror.

Facing what is described as a “make or break” year, Meghan is reportedly feeling the pressure. A source told Heat magazine, “This year is crucial for them. Meghan’s pushed Harry to take a more active role. She’s been at the forefront of networking, and the collapse of several deals has her stressed.”

The source added, “She’s contemplating stepping back a bit and believes it’s time for Harry to become more involved.”

This development follows reports that Meghan’s mother, Doria, 67, has moved into the Sussexes’ Montecito mansion’s guesthouse. The move is said to provide support during challenging times.

A source speaking to the Express shared, “Doria has been a pillar of strength for Meghan, not just as a mother but also in caring for their children. This past year has been particularly tough for Harry and Meghan, and Doria’s presence has been comforting.” It’s noted that Doria now spends more time in the Sussexes’ guesthouse than in her own home.
