Mark Labbett’s ex-wife, Katie, has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent months, leaving fans stunned by her new look. The Chase star, 59, recently reunited with Katie, 31, who he is still legally married to, and the former couple shared a wholesome family outing with their son, Lawrence.
While Mark has slimmed down significantly, it’s Katie who has shocked everyone with her stunning makeover. The blonde beauty appears to have shed several dress sizes, now showcasing a slimmed-down figure in leather pants and a tight burgundy turtleneck. Her facial features also seem to have changed, with a more youthful appearance and fuller lips. Additionally, Katie’s hair looks longer and fuller, completing her new look.
The transformation has not gone unnoticed, especially by Mark’s former girlfriend, Hayley Palmer. After breaking up with Mark five months ago, Hayley is reportedly upset by his renewed bond with Katie. “Hayley saw the posts and it left her devastated,” an insider revealed. “It was six months since they’d broken up and the posts went everywhere. It led to a lot of people reaching out and it really affected her mental health”, reported by the Daily Mail.
Hayley, 42, reportedly sent Mark a WhatsApp message asking him to be mindful of the impact his social media posts were having on her. She wrote, “Please be mindful of what you are posting on Instagram, as it has an impact on mental health trying to move forward, thank you.” However, Mark read the message but didn’t reply.
Back in May, Mark ended his relationship with Hayley during a brief phone call, telling her that he didn’t want a divorce from Katie, despite being separated since 2020. Just days after celebrating a one-year anniversary with Hayley, Mark reportedly told her, “I don’t think we should see each other anymore. You were right, I don’t want to get a divorce [from Katie].”
Mark and Katie, who share a seven-year-old son, split in 2020 after seven years of marriage. Mark cited the couple’s age gap and the impact of the COVID-19 lockdown as reasons for the breakup. He also said he left to allow Katie to pursue a relationship with her lover. Katie, a nurse, blamed Mark’s work schedule with The Chase for the breakdown of their marriage.
Their relationship began in 2010 after a connection on Facebook, and though Katie admitted she had never heard of Mark at the time, the two became engaged the following year.
