Linda Robson Opens Up About Health Scare and Potential Pancreas Removal

Linda Robson has shared her concerns about a possible major health procedure, revealing she may need to have her pancreas removed. The Loose Women star opened up about her health scare during a conversation with Ruth Langsford, Brenda Edwards, and Janet Street-Porter on Tuesday’s episode of the show.

Robson, best known for her role in Birds of a Feather, discussed how illness can impact family life, echoing the recent brave announcement from Kate Middleton about her cancer treatment. The 65-year-old explained that she has been dealing with health issues related to her pancreas after previous complications, told The Mirror.

“I had gallstones quite a few years ago, and they damaged my pancreas,” Linda revealed. “They’ve been keeping an eye on me for a while now.” Recently, Robson underwent a series of scans and is awaiting the results. “I had a cyst on my pancreas, and it went from one to two cm, so the kids have been really worried about me.”

When asked by Ruth if this is still an ongoing issue, Linda confirmed, “Yes, if it’s grown, they might have to remove my pancreas, which would mean I’d become diabetic. But fingers crossed, the cyst hasn’t grown. I feel quite positive, but the kids are obviously worried.”

Linda shared how her family is handling the situation, explaining that she uses humor to keep her children from worrying too much. “I make jokes about it all the time to diffuse their concerns. When I went to the hospital, they came with me and recorded everything the doctors said because I would have forgotten it all.”

This isn’t the first time Linda has faced serious health challenges. Earlier this year, she opened up about her struggles with OCD, alcoholism, and depression, sharing how her children became her carers during that difficult time. “There was a point when I got so low I couldn’t be left alone,” she recalled. “I wasn’t allowed to see my grandchildren until I was better.”

Reflecting on those tough years, Linda shared how her children expressed relief at her recovery: “They still say, ‘Mum, I’m so glad you’re better, we never thought we’d get you back.'”

Despite her current health concerns, Linda remains hopeful and focused on staying positive for her family as they await her latest test results.
