Keith Urban reportedly moves in with a new girlfriend after divorce from Nicole Kidman
A new report is stirring conversation about what life looks like for Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman after their split, and it paints a picture of two very different paths forward.
According to claims published by the Daily Mail, Urban has reportedly moved in with a new girlfriend not long after the divorce. A source told the outlet that the country singer has entered a new relationship and suggested it may help explain the strong public show of unity between Kidman and their two daughters, Sunday and Faith. “I hear he [Urban] has someone, which is why the girls are publicly supporting Mom,” the source said. “People think they are even living together.”
The insider also claimed that the teenagers’ closeness with Kidman reflects a change in the family dynamic. “Look, teen girls love their dads, so there’s a reason they’re making it three against one,” they claimed. The source added that Kidman has been sharing more moments with her daughters than usual. “Since the split, you are seeing her and the girls all the time, on her social media and in other photos,” they said.
The report points to recent trips as examples of that bond. Kidman reportedly travelled with Sunday and Faith to Paris and Sydney, and later posted photos of the trio participating in a Thanksgiving turkey trot race. “Each time you see them they are linking arms or holding hands. It looks ‘us against the world,’” the source added.
While Kidman appears focused on time with her daughters, Urban is said to be spending much of his time in Nashville. The report says he is renovating a studio on Music Row and working on what has been described as a breakup album. The outlet suggested the record “might be an uncomfortable retelling of the unravelling of their love story.”
Speculation about Urban’s new relationship has reportedly centered on rising country singer Karley Scott Collins, though the report was careful to note there is “no suggestion they had an affair.”
Urban and Kidman finalized their divorce earlier this month, bringing an end to 19 years of marriage. According to the report, both agreed to waive spousal and child support. Custody arrangements reportedly give Urban alternate weekends with their daughters.
