Loose Women Star Reveals She Was Left with £87 and a Heartbreaking Christmas Struggle

Loose Women star Judi Love, now a celebrated comedian and TV personality, revealed a heartfelt story about her struggles before rising to fame. Known for her appearances on Taskmaster, Noughts + Crosses, The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off, and Celebrity Gogglebox, Judi shared how she once faced such tough times that she could barely afford to celebrate Christmas.

During an episode of Loose Women, Judi opened up about a particularly challenging period in her life. She confessed, “Christmas came, and I had something like £87. I had these two kids, I had the bills and my debts that accumulated from just trying to take care of my kids. I wasn’t out partying … I just wanted to look after my kids. My mum had passed by then, so there was no, ‘Mummy, can you square me at 50’ or whatever. It was just really, really frightening”, according to the Express.

Despite the hardships, Judi managed to regain control of her life with the help of a loan firm. Her candid admission struck a chord with many viewers, offering a message of solidarity to others facing similar struggles today.

Now 43, Judi is a proud mother to two teenagers and has become an advocate for self-love and body confidence. In an earlier interview with OK!, she spoke about the importance of self-care as a single parent. “Honestly, I like to date myself—whether it be a trip to a spa, go for a nice meal, whatever. It’s important to love yourself. Self-love is so underrated; it allows you to learn what your standards and boundaries are,” she said.

Judi also opened up about her journey with body confidence, sharing how her perspective has evolved over the years. Reflecting on her experiences, she said, “Especially when you have children and your body changes—mine has over the years—it’s natural to have a moment when you lack confidence. I’ve been trying to focus more on how grateful I am for my body. Yes, I’ve got a belly and cellulite. Yes, I’ve got stretch marks… but these are all part of me. My body carried two beautiful children and it gets me up every morning. It allows me to do the work that I love. I wish I had that much confidence when I was younger though.”

Judi’s story is a powerful reminder of resilience, self-acceptance, and the importance of finding strength in adversity.
