Holly Willoughby Offered Jaw-Dropping £1,000,000 Payday by ITV to Host Three New Series
Holly Willoughby has reportedly been offered a lucrative deal by ITV to host three new series, as the network looks to secure its relationship with the star following her departure from This Morning in 2023. The 43-year-old presenter left the show after a plot to kidnap and kill her was uncovered by police, and after months of silence over her former co-host Phillip Schofield’s apparent digs towards her, she returned to television to present Dancing On Ice alongside Stephen Mulhern.
Now, ITV is eager to retain Holly, with reports suggesting she could be set to earn £1,000,000 for hosting a trio of new shows. According to The Sun, the broadcaster is keen to keep Holly, who they consider one of their “golden girls,” by offering her a full series of You Bet!, as well as a Saturday night entertainment show and possibly a new gameshow or quiz.
A source told the publication, “ITV chiefs are attempting to future-proof their relationship with Holly, who they very much see as having launched and nurtured her career on the network. But they also understand she has earned her place as one of Britain’s biggest TV stars, and inevitably rivals will make her offers — so they feel they have to tempt her to stay.”
The source added, “Of course, it’s entirely up to Holly if she takes up ITV’s deal or starts to consider her options elsewhere.” In addition to her work with ITV, Holly is set to appear in a new Netflix series with Bear Grylls. Celebrity Bear Hunt, which is due to air later this year, features celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for Grylls. The show will test their survival skills, with those who fail to face the brutal “Bear Hunt,” a game of cat and mouse where they risk elimination if captured.
The release of the new Netflix show comes as reports emerged that BBC had also expressed interest in Holly. However, it seems that ITV is doing everything it can to keep Holly on its team, offering her a significant deal to remain at the channel where she has become a household name.
