“She Was Absolutely Devoted to Her Children”: Cornwall Mother’s Sudden Passing Mourned

In a touching tribute to a life that ended too soon, the community and family of Amee Louise Bettison, a mother of eight from Bodmin, Cornwall, are reeling from her unexpected death. Amee was found deceased at her newly purchased “forever home” on April 13, at the age of 31. While her passing remains unexplained, her mother, Sharon Trewin, has confirmed that it was due to natural causes.

Sharon lovingly described her daughter, saying, “She was a lovely girl. Everybody loved Amee. She was very private and would not overshare with anybody. If she had a problem she would deal with it herself. She was strong like that.” Amee’s devotion to her children was evident as her mother added, “They were her life. Whatever she did, her kids always came first”, via Yahoo.

Amee, who was affectionately remembered as the former teen “rebel,” had entered a promising chapter of her life. She had moved into what she hoped would be her lifelong home and was actively planning future family holidays, including a Christmas trip to Alicante. Her mother shared that despite her rebellious teen years, Amee had matured into a responsible and loving mother, continuously pregnant for nearly a decade, showing her dedication and love for her family.

The family is now focusing on supporting the children, who range in age from almost two to nine, helping them cope with the immense loss of their mother. To aid in their healing, a memorial garden is being created at Sharon’s home as a serene spot for reflection and to cherish Amee’s memory.

Further adding to the family’s lore, Sharon explained Amee’s role in the heavens now: “It’s been explained in a way that God needed a mummy to look after all the babies in the sky and took their mummy because she was the best.”

An inquest into Amee’s death has been opened and adjourned by the Cornwall Coroner’s Court in Truro, with a full investigation to follow. Devon and Cornwall Police, responding to the initial call, have stated that while the death is still considered unexplained, it is not believed to be suspicious.
