Champion Names Maurizio Donadi as Creative Director for Europe, Promising a “Bold New Era”

Champion, the iconic lifestyle and athletic brand, has appointed Maurizio Donadi as its new creative director for its European division, signaling a fresh phase of innovation and design.

Donadi will officially take on the role starting December 1, according to a statement from Champion Europe, according to Fashion Network. His appointment comes as the brand embarks on an “exciting new chapter” under its new ownership by Authentic Brands Group.

Donadi, a seasoned industry veteran, has worked with prestigious names such as Giorgio Armani, Levi’s, and Ralph Lauren. He also founded Transnomadica, an atelier dedicated to “looking back to see forward” by curating vintage apparel and objects. This deep understanding of heritage and innovation positions him as a transformative force for Champion.

Champion highlighted that Donadi’s experience will drive the brand’s relevance and innovation while respecting its legacy. Known for revitalizing global brands by intertwining their origin stories with sustainable and modern visions, Donadi is expected to infuse Champion with renewed energy.

In his new role, Donadi will oversee all aspects of Champion’s creative direction, including product lines, seasonal collections, brand campaigns, and collaboration strategies.
