CCTV Captures Mums Skipping Bill, Speeding Off With Children

In a shocking display of brazen behaviour, two mothers were caught on camera fleeing a Chinese restaurant in Uxbridge with their children — without paying the bill and allegedly nearly running over a staff member in the process.
The incident, which unfolded at Pangs Chinese on March 23, has left restaurant staff stunned and furious after the family calmly ate their meal, ignored attempts to stop them, and made a swift getaway. CCTV footage shared by the restaurant shows the chaotic scene as the two women, accompanied by two young children, are confronted by staff before dashing out of the building.
In a second clip from the venue’s car park, the family is seen piling into a white vehicle as an employee follows closely behind. But as soon as the women get into the car, the driver hits the accelerator, nearly knocking down the staff member who tried to stop them.
Pangs Chinese later posted the footage online, exposing the pair and expressing their frustration. “Dine and dash… this is crazy. The scums tried to run me over with their car… Can’t believe they had two kids with them,” read the furious caption.
The restaurant added: “We were extremely disappointed to find that the family left without paying. We strive to provide excellent service and are saddened by this incident.” They also hinted at a policy change to prevent future incidents, saying: “This is why we need to take payment up front for their sit-down meals from now on. Fed up chasing the people out the door.”
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the incident has been reported and is now under investigation. A spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident at a restaurant in Uxbridge where a family left without paying their bill. Enquiries are ongoing, and we urge anyone who may have seen something or has information to come forward.”
Pangs also urged the public to help identify the culprits, posting on Facebook: “The incident has been reported to the local authorities and they are looking out for the pair. If you have any information, please don’t hesitate to contact the Met with reference number CAD5141/23Mar.”
Social media users were quick to react, with many expressing outrage. One commented, “That’s shocking, thankfully everyone is ok and I hope they catch them and bring them to justice.” Another added, “The little girl looks like she’s giving the middle finger.”
The footage has sparked wider concerns about growing trends of dine and dash incidents across the UK, especially when children are involved. For now, the hunt continues for the two women — and their shocking actions have left a bitter taste for a restaurant simply trying to serve its community.
