Queen Camilla Mourns the Loss of Her Beloved Dog Beth in Heartfelt Tribute

The Royal Family announced the passing of Queen Camilla’s cherished dog, Beth, in a poignant social media post on Monday. Beth, a loyal Jack Russell terrier adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, had been a constant source of joy and comfort to the Queen.

The post celebrated Beth’s life, calling her “The Queen’s much-loved companion from @Battersea Dogs and Cats Home” and highlighting the happiness she brought—whether accompanying Camilla on walks, assisting with official duties, or simply curled up by the fire.

The announcement included touching photographs of Beth’s time with Camilla, capturing tender moments such as a walk in the Highlands, a meeting with the late Paul O’Grady, and a heartfelt image of Beth nuzzling King Charles.

Beth passed away due to an untreatable tumor, leaving a profound void in the royal household. A tribute video accompanied the announcement, showcasing Beth’s vibrant personality. The video included a memorable moment from December 2020, when Beth helped Camilla unveil a plaque at Battersea’s Old Windsor Centre using a sausage—a gesture that delighted onlookers and highlighted Beth’s playful spirit, reported by PEOPLE.

Beth and her fellow Jack Russell terrier, Bluebell, were adopted by Camilla from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The two dogs quickly became integral members of the royal family, frequently joining Camilla on public engagements. Beth and Bluebell even featured in an official portrait alongside King Charles and Queen Camilla to commemorate their 15th wedding anniversary in 2020.

Royal fans and animal lovers flooded social media with condolences and kind words following the news. One fan wrote, “So sorry for your loss, Your Majesty,” echoing the sentiments of many who admired Beth’s charm and the Queen’s evident affection for her canine companion.

Beth’s legacy as a beloved part of the royal family and her role in shining a light on rescue animals through her appearances will not be forgotten.
