Ben Sherman Sets Sights on UK High Streets with New Store Openings

Iconic menswear brand Ben Sherman is embarking on an ambitious expansion plan, rolling out monobrand stores across the United Kingdom, marking a significant move in partnership with BSI Apparel. This strategic initiative comes after last year’s agreement with Marquee Brands, Ben Sherman’s parent company, which entrusted BSI Apparel with licensing rights aimed at revitalizing the brand’s presence on the UK’s bustling high streets, by “Fashion United“.

Kicking off this expansion, a pop-up store has made its debut in London’s vibrant Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross. Spanning 1,036 square feet, this inaugural space showcases an array of Ben Sherman offerings, including the Signature and B by Ben Sherman collections, alongside highly anticipated limited-edition capsules.

This London pop-up is merely the beginning, with plans to unveil flagship stores in major urban centers throughout the year, signaling a robust investment in mono-brand locations and wholesale retail accounts. The move is set to significantly enhance Ben Sherman’s visibility and accessibility to British consumers, reinforcing its status as a staple of menswear.

Tim Reid, Executive Vice President of Fashion and Lifestyle at Marquee Brands, expressed excitement about the brand’s high street resurgence. “Ben Sherman is poised to reclaim its place on the UK’s most fashionable streets,” Reid remarked, highlighting the brand’s 60-year legacy crowned with recent high-profile collaborations, including those with Rolling Stone and John Lennon.

As Ben Sherman ushers in its ‘Year of Sport’ and looks forward to the Olympics, the new stores will offer shoppers the first glimpse of the latest collections and upcoming partnerships. This strategic expansion not only celebrates the brand’s rich heritage but also sets the stage for its dynamic future in the ever-evolving world of fashion.
