Arrests Made Following Kidnapping and Assault Incident in Co Armagh

In a distressing turn of events, two individuals have been detained in connection with a reported kidnapping and assault in the Silverbridge area of Co Armagh, according to police statements.

Authorities were alerted to the incident on Saturday evening when it was reported that a male was forcibly taken into a vehicle and subsequently driven to an alternate location where he was assaulted. The ordeal ended with the victim being released from captivity.

Police have confirmed the arrest of two men, aged 39 and 45, on suspicion of various offenses. The suspects are currently being held for questioning in police custody.

Describing the incident as a “terrifying ordeal,” a representative from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) emphasized the severity of the victim’s experience, noting that he sustained facial injuries during the assault.

Investigators are actively seeking witnesses and have called on anyone who was near Carnally Road around 5:25 pm on the day of the incident to come forward with any information or relevant video footage, including dashcam or CCTV recordings. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the police by dialing 101 and referencing case number 1224 of February 17.
