Here’s The Real Reason Why Prince William Doesn’t Wear a Wedding Ring

After ten years of marriage and three adorable children, Prince William and Kate Middleton, still look like they’re very much in love. However, many observers have noticed something interesting about the couple: Despite their apparent matrimonial bliss, William has never worn a wedding ring – unlike his father Prince Charles and brother Prince Harry.

According to details, the Duke of Cambridge hasn’t worn a wedding band for the entire duration of his nine-year marriage to Kate Middleton because he simply doesn’t like jewellery of any kind.

According to a royal source, Wills just isn’t keen on wearing a ring at all. Furthermore, the second-in-line to throne apparently doesn’t feel the need to bear any personal ornaments. The insider said: “He’s not one for jewellery.” They explained: “He’s never worn any. He decided he didn’t want to wear one now. It’s all down to personal preference.”

Prince William’s decision, however, is not an uncommon one with more and more men choosing to go wedding ring-free.

In fact, it turns out that it’s a common decision in the royal family with William’s grandfather, Prince Philip, also opting out of wearing one. However, Prince Harry has broken the royal tradition by wearing a simple platinum band on his left hand, made by the Cleave and Company, the same jeweller behind Meghan Markle’s engagement ring.

Essentially, it is up to each royal what they prefer. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, on the other hand has enough sparkle for the two of them, never seen without Princess Diana’s 12-carat blue Ceylon sapphire engagement ring on her finger.
