Harry, Meghan Divorce Rumors: Did the royal couple sign a prenup?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not ever consider signing a prenuptial agreement before their marriage, according to a royal source, despite reports to the contrary.

According to the details, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not sign any prenup agreement to protect their personal wealth and this confirmation recently surfaced amid rumors that the couple could be headed for divorce.

The pair have said they are “thriving” in their new life together in California, and are excitedly awaiting the birth of their second child this summer.

Writing in her book, ‘Harry: Conversations with the Prince’, biographer Angela Levin explained how claims of a potential prenup began to emerge shortly after Harry and Meghan released a set of professional photos to honour their engagement in 2017.

She claims: “It was reported that the Queen, who is known for being frugal, was pushing for a prenuptial agreement to protect her grandson’s wealth.

“If true, it didn’t go down well.”

At that time, Harry’s personal wealth was estimated to be over $30 million while Meghan had $7 million from her work as a Hollywood actress.

Harry is said to have been worth approximately £30million around the time of their wedding, while Meghan was estimated to be worth £4million following her successful acting career on the legal drama Suits.

Although Kensington Palace declined to comment at the time — describing it as a “private matter” — it’s also not customary for royals to sign prenups, so it would have been out of the ordinary for the Queen to request one for the Sussexes.
