Sarah Ferguson breaks silence after UK return: ‘In contact with Andrew’

Sarah Ferguson has begun a new chapter in the UK following a period of personal and professional fallout, and her spokesperson has now shed light on how she is feeling.

The former Duchess of York confirmed her arrival in the country with a surprise public appearance alongside her daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, at a memorial service in London for Paddy McNally. McNally was her former boyfriend and longtime pal.

Speaking to People, Fergie’s spokesperson described what the next stage looks like for her. “She’s resettling here, lying low while she looks at the next stage,” the spokesperson said.

“She’s happy spending time with her family and focusing on her relocation.”

It is understood that Sarah is renting a house in the Home Counties, the areas surrounding London. The move places her close to her daughters and grandchildren, with whom she is said to be enjoying her time.

The spokesperson added, “She is embracing her family life and seeing her grandchildren.”

Her return comes after a difficult stretch, and her public appearance at the memorial service marked her first visible step back into life in the UK. By appearing with Beatrice and Eugenie, she also signaled that family remains at the center of her plans as she settles in.

There has also been attention on Sarah’s relationship with her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. It has been said that she remains in contact with him, despite reports that the ex-prince has shut Fergie out of his home.

Addressing the nature of their relationship, her spokesperson said, “They have an ongoing cordial and supportive relationship as co-parents and co-grandparents.”

For now, according to her spokesperson, Sarah is keeping a low profile as she focuses on her relocation and time with loved ones, while she considers what comes next.
