Kim Kardashian nearly falls in 8-inch heels before Vanity Fair Oscars party
Kim Kardashian proved she can laugh at herself after nearly taking a tumble in sky-high heels ahead of the Vanity Fair Oscars Party 2026.
The reality star shared the moment on TikTok while recapping her glamorous look for the evening. Kardashian, 45, wore a striking gold Gucci gown for the star-studded event, pairing it with towering 8-inch Pleaser heels and striking ice-blue contact lenses that immediately drew attention online.
In the video clip, Kardashian is seen walking down a sidewalk alongside her close friend Stephanie Shepherd as she heads toward the event. While discussing her shoes, the SKIMS founder questioned whether one of them fit properly.
“Should my right shoe be tighter?” she asked. Moments later, Kardashian stumbled and nearly fell forward into nearby shrubbery as she struggled to balance in the towering heels.
Fortunately, several members of her team, along with Shepherd, quickly stepped in and caught her before she could hit the ground. “Oh! Sorry, sorry! My ankle,” Kardashian said as she steadied herself while her team adjusted her outfit and helped her regain balance.
Still walking carefully, she continued down the sidewalk while holding on to a member of her team for support. Reflecting on the awkward moment, she joked about accidentally grabbing someone nearby during the stumble. “F–k! That poor lady, I grabbed her. I grabbed that old lady’s like box.”
Kardashian then explained that the issue may have been caused by her left shoe needing to be tightened before she stepped onto the red carpet for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Despite the brief scare, Kardashian’s glamorous look quickly became one of the night’s most talked-about fashion moments.
Her gold gown, paired with the bold blue contact lenses, stood out among the evening’s red-carpet styles. She completed the outfit with 3-carat diamond ear cuffs from Ofira Jewels and a dramatic beauty look featuring a dark smoky eye, contoured cheekbones and a glossy nude lip. Her hair was styled in a tousled shoulder-length bob.
While fans admired her red-carpet appearance, Kardashian also caught the attention of her rumoured boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton, on social media. The Formula 1 champion reacted to her photo dump from the event with a heart-eyes emoji in the comments section.
Kardashian and Hamilton, who have been friends for years, first sparked romance rumors in January before reportedly making their relationship public during the Super Bowl earlier this year.
