Nicole Kidman’s daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban calls her ‘biggest inspiration’ in new interview
The daughters of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are reportedly standing firmly by their mother following the couple’s recent divorce after nearly two decades of marriage.
According to new reports, the former couple’s eldest daughter, 17-year-old Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, recently raised eyebrows after appearing to leave her father out of a public interview while praising her mother.
In a conversation with Elle Australia, Sunday described Kidman as her “biggest inspiration in … life” and called the Oscar-winning actress “a key part of everything” she does. The teenager’s comments reportedly caught attention because she did not mention Urban during the interview.
Sources cited by the Daily Mail claim that both Sunday and her younger sister, 15-year-old Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, currently spend most of their time with Kidman under the terms of their custody agreement. Insiders stressed, however, that the actress has not attempted to turn the girls against their father.

“They’ve made their own choices about their dad,” a source claimed. “[Kidman] isn’t like that. Keith hasn’t tried much to make things better in their eyes.” The insider also emphasized the strong bond between Kidman and her daughters. “The girls have always been very close with their mother,” the source added. “They are her everything.”
Another source suggested that the teenagers have taken the breakup particularly hard and feel protective of their mother. According to the report, both Sunday and Faith are “hurt and angry on her behalf” after their parents ended their marriage following 19 years together.
“There’s some resentment against Keith. If they are blaming someone, it’s him, not her,” the insider said. Urban, meanwhile, is said to be concerned about his relationship with his daughters but remains hopeful that things could improve with time.
“He’s hurt, but he feels like he can patch things up,” a source said. “He doesn’t blame Nicole and it doesn’t seem like she’s alienating them from him.” Despite that optimism, reports claim communication between the former spouses has become strained. Sources say the pair, both 58, are currently not speaking.

“Things got really bad at the end of their relationship and haven’t rebounded,” one insider alleged. “Keith seems to really want to live the single life, almost like a midlife crisis since the split.” “He’s turned into a totally different person,” the source continued. “It’s like she doesn’t know him at all anymore.”
Kidman and Urban finalized their divorce in January. Under the reported custody arrangement, their daughters will stay with Kidman for most of the year, while Urban will see them “every other weekend.”
Meanwhile, Kidman recently made headlines at the 2026 Oscars, where she drew attention on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Representatives for both stars have not publicly commented on the latest claims.
