‘We’ve changed houses we’ve changed countries’ Lily Allen hunts for home after split from David Harbour
Share0Lily Allen is reportedly on the hunt for a new place to call home as she begins a fresh chapter following her split from David Harbour.
The 40-year-old singer-songwriter is planning to settle back in London after leaving the former couple’s Brooklyn townhouse. She is said to be working with a £5 million budget as she searches for the right space to start over and build a new routine, according to Daily Mail.

A source close to the situation told the outlet, “Lily is flashing the cash and she wants to find the perfect home. She is starting afresh after her split and wants the right property for herself and her two daughters.”
The insider added, “She’s looking at many places to find the right one,” suggesting the search is ongoing and that she is taking her time to make the right choice.

The move comes during what sounds like a challenging transition for the whole family. Allen has been open about how the changes have affected her daughters Ethel, 14, and Marnie, 13, especially after relocating from New York City back to the UK following the end of her marriage.
Speaking honestly on her Miss Me? podcast, she did not sugarcoat how things have been at home. “My kids are f***ing mental at the moment,” Allen said candidly.
She went on to explain the emotional weight behind those words, adding, “They are really developing their personalities. It’s just a lot. There’s a lot of questions. There’s a lot of change in our lives at the moment.”

For any parent, those kinds of shifts can feel overwhelming, and Allen acknowledged just how much has happened in a short time. “We’ve changed houses, we’ve changed countries, we’ve changed schools, and it’s a lot.”
Friends and fans have been watching closely as the singer navigates this next stage, with many rooting for her to find stability and peace after a turbulent period. Her reported plan to put down roots in London signals a desire for familiarity and a supportive environment for her daughters as they adjust to their new normal.
While the house hunt may be high profile, the story behind it feels deeply relatable. A parent trying to protect her children, a family adapting to change, and someone simply looking for a place that finally feels like home again.
