BTS’ V shares birthday message after celebrating with bandmates
Share0Kim Tae hyung, better known as V, has given BTS fans a feel good update just days after celebrating his 30th birthday, and it did not take long for ARMYs to get excited.
Fresh from the birthday celebrations, the singer shared a reflective post on Instagram, opening up about how much the day meant to him and teasing plans for what comes next. V marked the occasion surrounded by his BTS bandmates and close friends, something he clearly appreciated.
“1230 🙋♂️♂️ I was happy that my members friends took care of me very well,” he wrote, thanking those around him for making the day special.
He then added a line that instantly grabbed fans’ attention. “Let’s do it with the ARMYs next year,” he said, hinting that while this birthday was a private affair with RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J Hope and Suga, the next one could be celebrated alongside fans.
The post was accompanied by a series of photos and videos offering a behind the scenes look at how V spent the day. In one moment, he can be seen cutting a cute cake in the studio with J Hope, RM and members of the crew. Other snaps show him posing with multiple cakes, suggesting there was no shortage of birthday treats.
Several short videos captured the BTS members singing him happy birthday in different settings, including the gym, the studio and outdoors. The clips had a relaxed, playful feel, showing the group laughing, joking and clearly enjoying each other’s company.
One particular video from Seoul quickly went viral on X, formerly Twitter. It shows the BTS members dressed casually in hoodies, messing around against a winter backdrop. In the clip, RM casually says “ddaeng,” a familiar sound to long time fans.
The word is a signature ad lib from an unreleased rap track by RM, Suga and J Hope that has never officially landed on Spotify. That small moment was enough to send fans into overdrive, with many wondering whether it was a hint at something bigger.
Almost immediately, theories began circulating online. Some fans speculated that the moment could be teasing a surprise New Year Spotify drop of the long requested track. Others wondered if it was a subtle nod towards BTS gearing up for a spring 2026 comeback album, especially with members slowly returning to public life.
While no official announcements have been made, the timing of the clip and V’s birthday message added fuel to the speculation. For many ARMYs, the idea of a group comeback or new music feels closer than ever.
For now, V’s post seems to be about gratitude and connection rather than big reveals. His message struck a warm and personal tone, reminding fans of the bond he shares with his bandmates while also acknowledging the support of ARMYs worldwide.
By promising to celebrate with fans next year, V left many feeling hopeful and included, even from afar. Whether or not the viral “ddaeng” moment leads to new music, one thing is clear. BTS remain very much on fans’ minds, and even a simple birthday post is enough to spark excitement across the internet.
