“I’m Not Backing Down” Paris Jackson Plans New Filing After Court Setback

Paris Jackson is back in the middle of a fight she never asked for. The 27 year old actress, and singer is challenging the way her late father Michael Jackson’s estate has been handling money, and the whole thing has turned into a legal maze that keeps getting messier.

She originally filed a complaint saying the estate had been making payments without telling her. This was a big deal to her because she believes decisions like that should not be happening without her knowledge. But a Los Angeles judge recently shut down most of her complaint. Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff ruled against Paris based on the California anti SLAPP statute, according to Page Six. The ruling knocked out most of what she had raised, at least for now.

Still, Paris is not backing down. Her team made it clear that she plans to file an updated version of her appeal. A representative told the outlet, “This order is limited to minor procedural issues and does not change the facts: the pattern of behavior displayed by the executors and their attorneys raises significant red flags, and Paris will continue working to ensure her family is treated fairly. We will be submitting an updated filing shortly.” From her perspective, the heart of the issue has not changed at all, and she is determined to keep pushing.

Her original filing dates back to June. In that complaint, she said the executors of her father’s estate had been giving out “bonus” payments to several law firms. What bothered her most was that the payments were allegedly made without her approval or involvement in the decision making. Since the estate was meant for Michael Jackson’s family, she believes she deserved to know exactly where the money was going.

The executors responded with a very different version of events. They argued that no one has benefited more from the estate’s payments than Paris herself. They said she had received $65 million and suggested the payments she is questioning were part of the regular financial management of the estate. Their response painted a picture of a situation where Paris was not being harmed but rather significantly supported by the decisions she was objecting to.

Even with all that tension, the case is far from over. Paris seems determined to take another shot at making her concerns heard. The judge’s ruling did not completely shut the door, and her team clearly believes they can strengthen their arguments. Legal experts watching from the outside say anti SLAPP rulings often come down to technicalities, so a revised appeal could end up bringing the case back to life.

For now, the fight continues. Paris believes the executors have crossed lines and made decisions without proper transparency. The estate’s representatives insist they have done everything by the book. And somewhere between those two sides sits a massive legacy, a complicated fortune and a daughter trying to make sure her father’s wishes are honored the way she believes he intended.
