Gatineau Police Search for Missing Woman Last Seen October 10
Share0Authorities in Gatineau are asking for the public’s help in locating a 39-year-old woman who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Police say they have growing concerns for her health and safety. According to a statement released on October 22, Bianca Ramsay was last seen on October 10, leaving a residence on St-Jean Street in Gatineau on foot.
Since then, she has not been in contact with family or friends, prompting police to issue an appeal for information. “Police and family have reason to fear for her health and safety,” the release stated, emphasizing that locating Ramsay is now a priority.
Ramsay is described as a white woman standing approximately five feet five inches tall (1.65 metres) and weighing about 98 pounds (44.5 kilograms). She has black hair and heterochromia — her eyes are two different colours — though police noted she may be wearing green contact lenses.
Authorities believe Ramsay could still be in the larger Outaouais region, which includes several municipalities around Gatineau. Investigators said she may be traveling on foot, using public transportation, or possibly riding as a passenger in a vehicle, as per the Ottawa Citizen
Police have not released details about the circumstances of her disappearance, but confirmed that search efforts are ongoing. Officers are canvassing local areas, reviewing surveillance footage, and speaking with residents in hopes of gathering clues about her whereabouts.
Family members have also taken to social media to appeal for help and share photos of Ramsay, urging anyone who may have seen her to come forward. Loved ones say her disappearance is completely out of character and that they are desperate for answers.
Local residents are encouraged to remain alert and report any possible sightings immediately. “Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial,” police said in their appeal.
Anyone who believes they have seen Bianca Ramsay or has information about her location is asked to contact Gatineau Police at 819-246-0222. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through local crime reporting channels.
As the search continues, the Gatineau Police Service is reminding the public that every moment counts in missing person cases. Authorities are hopeful that community awareness and cooperation will lead to Ramsay’s safe return.
