Eamonn Holmes Angered TV Bosses So Badly They Reportedly ‘Threw a Phone at Him’!

Eamonn Holmes has revealed the shocking extent of his mistreatment by TV bosses during his early career, admitting that he had various objects thrown at him. The 65-year-old presenter made the admission while hosting the GB News breakfast show on Monday, February 24, alongside Ellie Costello.

During the broadcast, Eamonn and Ellie were joined by former Daily Star editor Dawn Neesom and TV personality Christopher Biggins to discuss the latest bullying allegations involving Meghan Markle. The conversation took a turn when Dawn mentioned the claims of Meghan bullying TV production staff in America, which led Eamonn to reflect on his own experiences in television, reported the Express.

Eamonn began by addressing Dawn, saying, “I’m looking at you and I’m smiling. You and I would have been brought up in similar working environments.” He went on to describe the harsh and often hostile conditions he faced on TV sets in the past. “What we were used to, and I’m not saying subjected to because everybody got it, there were loud voices, there was threatening behavior,” he said.

However, Eamonn revealed that things went beyond verbal abuse. He continued, “I had telephones thrown at me, cups thrown at me.” The former This Morning presenter even shared a particularly striking memory: “I had a typewriter thrown at my feet after there were issues found within a script I had written.” He confirmed that these incidents were the result of angry TV bosses, which left Ellie Costello stunned.

“Wow,” Ellie responded, visibly shocked. Dawn Neesom also chimed in, sharing her own experiences: “And the same with newspapers. Most of the bosses I worked for were basically psychopaths,” before adding with a laugh, “In a nice way, obviously.”

Despite the harsh treatment, Eamonn explained that he does not feel “wounded or harmed” by it. “But what I do realize is that you can never replicate. You can never, in any way, say to anyone, ‘What the heck are you doing?’ Because you’re aggressive,” he noted. Eamonn emphasized the importance of addressing issues directly, adding, “I don’t see it as aggressive but you need to point out to people when they’re doing things wrong.”

Dawn agreed, saying, “It’s a fine line between being driven and getting people to do things well and bullying people.” The discussion came after Dawn expressed her belief that “there’s no smoke without fire” regarding the repeated bullying allegations surrounding Meghan Markle.

These claims include an email from Jason Knauf, the former senior aide to the Sussexes, accusing Meghan of bullying staff in 2018. Knauf has since appeared in a new 60 Minutes Australia documentary, where he stated he has “no regrets” about bringing the allegations to light. Meghan, 43, has vehemently denied the bullying claims, calling them an orchestrated smear campaign.
