Prince Harry and William planning isolated paths in 2025 from their wives: report
0Prince Harry and Prince William are reportedly stepping into 2025 with plans that will see them leave their wives behind for separate endeavors—one focusing on royal duties and the other on personal pursuits. Royal commentator Daniela Elser shared her insights on the shifting dynamics within the royal family in her latest piece for News.com.au, noting that 2025 is shaping up to be a year of “maybe” for both princes.
Elser highlighted how the royal family is planning for a year of flexibility, with “options kept firmly open and hard and fast commitments avoided” for Kate Middleton. She pointed out key dates on the royal calendar, such as Trooping the Colour and Remembrance Day, as immovable events but noted the general shift toward less defined roles for the Princess of Wales in the coming year.
The royal expert also saw an ironic parallel between the Wales family’s evolving plans and the ongoing dynamics of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. “Consider the parallel between the Waleses and their individual plans for the year and what has been going on with Those-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named in California, Prince Harry and Meghan,” Elser wrote.
“The second half of the Sussexes’ 2024 was marked by the couple going their own ways in terms of public outings as they busily worked away on building independent brands, with never the twain having met since September when they were photographed leaving Tyler Perry’s birthday party.”
Elser pointed out that while Harry and Meghan’s separation was driven by career and branding goals, and Kate and William’s decisions stemmed from different factors, both couples now face similar circumstances.
She added, “For entirely different reasons – cancer versus career – both Prince One and Prince Two now find themselves left to step out on their own in public without their good lady wives.” Concluding her analysis,
Elser quipped, “Brothers, in 2025, are doing it for themselves,” suggesting that both Harry and William will be navigating the year largely on their own, carving out their respective paths independently from their wives. This shift could mark a pivotal moment for both princes as they face a year of personal and professional change.
