GB News Stars Patrick Christys and Emily Carver Share Sweet Christmas Moments On-Air

Patrick Christys and Emily Carver, the dynamic duo from GB News who also happen to be newlyweds, gave fans an intimate peek into their Christmas Day festivities during their Boxing Day broadcast. The couple, who tied the knot earlier this year, shared their holiday cheer while hosting a “rate my plate” segment, asking viewers to send photos of their Christmas dinners.

To kick off the fun, Patrick and Emily revealed a snapshot of their own festive feast. Patrick enthusiastically explained, “We thought we’d kick things off. So we wanted to show you a picture of what we were tucking into yesterday, or at least a bit of it”, reported by the Express.

Emily, ever the vibrant co-host, guided viewers through their plate. “Obviously you’ve got turkey there, the white and the brown meat. You’ve got some delicious roast potatoes, a couple of parsnips, some sprouts of course. Peas – do peas belong on a Christmas dinner? Broccoli. You’ve got some creamy, cheesy leeks. It was delicious.”

Patrick couldn’t resist highlighting the leeks, calling them the “pièce de résistance.” Emily chimed in with more details: “And then red cabbage in the middle, a little pig in blanket, and some stuffing. And gravy on top. We hadn’t put the gravy on yet. I put it on, I promise.”

Adding a family anecdote, Emily shared, “My mum said they’re now doing sourdough bread sauce. She said, ‘No, don’t need that.’”

The broadcast wasn’t just about food, though. Patrick recently opened up to fans about their day-to-day life as a married couple, offering a glimpse into their charming dynamic.

“Monday to Friday usually starts by being woken up by Emily (my wife’s) alarm at 6.30am, moaning about what time it is and then rolling over and then waking up properly at 8am,” Patrick said. He also shared his appreciation for Emily’s thoughtful gestures. “I put the key in the front door at about midnight. Emily has usually made me a little bite to eat so I’ll have that, which I really appreciate because she’s got a full-on schedule as well.”

The couple’s festive banter and heartwarming chemistry captivated viewers, offering a delightful glimpse into their holiday celebration and their life together, both on and off the air.
