Prince Harry and Meghan Markle react to King Charles brutal Christmas snub

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly left feeling mortified after King Charles once again snubbed them by not extending an invitation to this year’s Royal Christmas celebrations.

Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been included in the Royal Family’s Christmas gatherings since stepping down as working royals in 2020, reports suggest the couple were hopeful for a change this year.

According to a royal insider cited by Heat Magazine, Harry and Meghan were not expecting to join the festivities in person but felt an invitation would have signaled a step towards reconciliation. The insider explained, “Ultimately, Harry and Meghan were never going to spend Christmas in England, but it would have been nice to have been asked.”

The continued lack of communication from the Royal Family reportedly took its toll on Meghan, who is said to be frustrated by the absence of any warmth or effort to bridge the ongoing rift. The source revealed, “The deafening silence that they continue to receive from across the pond really stresses Meghan out, and she’s at a total loss about how to handle it.”

Despite years of estrangement, the insider shared that Meghan believed time would have softened the family’s stance, particularly King Charles’, and opened the door to reconciliation. The couple reportedly expected that senior royals might signal more willingness to mend fences.

“At this point, she fully expected that senior members of the family might have signaled more warmth towards her and Harry, or that they’d be on the receiving end of some reconciliation attempts,” the insider added.

The snub has reportedly left Meghan analyzing the dynamics of the ongoing feud and questioning which royal might be preventing the family from repairing their fractured relationships.

The source further shared, “For Meghan, it’s important to rise above the frostiness and try to be the bigger people. It’s too much of a one-way effort for her liking.”

The lack of a Christmas invitation appears to highlight the persistent divide between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the Royal Family. For Meghan, the silence from across the pond has become increasingly difficult to navigate, despite her apparent desire to take the high road.

While the Sussexes remain distant from the Royal Christmas celebrations, this latest snub underscores the unresolved tensions and the long road ahead for any potential reconciliation.
