Ruth Langsford’s ‘Addictive’ Lamb Hotpot Recipe as She Embraces New Healthy Lifestyle

Loose Women star Ruth Langsford recently took to Instagram to share her special recipe for lamb hotpot, a dish she’s become “addicted” to while on a healthy eating journey. Since embarking on a new diet that has helped her shed some weight, the 64-year-old ITV presenter has been embracing a fresh approach to food, which she shares regularly with her followers.

Ruth’s posts often include recipes for salads, smoothies, and other health-conscious meals she brings to work at the ITV studios. Her latest video on lamb hotpot sparked interest among fans eager for her cooking tips. In the video, she showed the process of cooking lamb and potatoes until tender on the stove, before transferring everything to a casserole dish. “About an hour and a half. Take the lid off for the last 15 minutes to let the potatoes brown,” Ruth advised, as she placed the dish in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius. Once the meal was ready, she posted a clip of the final result, exclaiming, “Cannot wait to tuck into this!”

Ruth has been open about her journey with body changes and wellness. Discussing her experience with aging on Loose Women, she shared, “You know me, I don’t really worry too much about age. But at 60 to now and I’m now 64, I feel like everything has kind of drooped and sagged.” This natural progression, along with changes from menopause, seems to have inspired her dedication to healthier meals and an active lifestyle, according to the Express.

In a recent interview with Woman Magazine, Ruth opened up about her struggles with body image due to menopause, explaining how it has affected her shape. “Menopause has caused me to thicken up, and I found it difficult to love my body shape after weight gain left me with ‘no waist’ and ‘thick, fat knees,’” she said. However, she’s facing these challenges head-on with determination, taking steps like a recent charity walk for Alzheimer’s and working with a personal trainer to stay active.

Since her split from Eamonn Holmes in May, Ruth has been embracing her independence with a renewed focus on her health and well-being. While she’s always enjoyed cooking and good food, the menopause-related weight gain and shape changes have motivated her to refine her eating habits and prioritize physical activity.

Ruth’s journey serves as an inspiring example for women facing similar changes, showing that with small shifts in lifestyle and diet, it’s possible to regain control and feel good.
