Ruth Langsford Abruptly Cut Off as Loose Women Faces Shocking On-Air Interruption

Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women took an unexpected turn when Ruth Langsford had to abruptly interrupt the broadcast due to a fire alarm. The ITV panel was in the middle of an interview with EastEnders star Charlie Brooks, who was discussing her upcoming participation in Dancing on Ice when Ruth suddenly interjected.

As Charlie explained her decision to join the ice skating competition, Ruth cut in, saying, “I’m really sorry but I’m going to have to stop you there. To everybody else, we are going to have to take a break. I’ve just been told we’ve got a fire alarm going off in the building.”

The familiar Loose Women theme music began playing, and Charlie looked visibly surprised by the interruption. According to The Express, Ruth quickly explained the situation, saying, “Obviously, protocol dictates that we need to leave the studio.”

However, the alarm was soon revealed to be a false one, as Ruth received an update from the production team moments later. “Oh no! I’ve just been told it’s all fine now. Don’t panic!” she reassured everyone, drawing laughter from the studio audience as they relaxed and the show resumed.

Amused by the abrupt pause, Charlie Brooks joked, “Ok, that was dramatic! Oh my goodness,” while Ruth light-heartedly remarked that this was just a preview of the drama Charlie might face on Dancing on Ice. The playful exchange brought smiles to the audience and set the stage for the rest of the interview.

Charlie, who has been confirmed as the fifth contestant for next year’s Dancing on Ice, expressed her excitement about joining the competition. “I’m going to embrace the spray tan!” she said, adding, “All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg.”

The much-anticipated return of Dancing on Ice is set to air in 2025, with other contestants like reality TV star Ferne McCann, Traitors’ Mollie Pearce, Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave, and Coronation Street actor Sam Aston also joining the lineup. Although a specific date has not been announced, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the popular ice-skating show on ITV and ITVX.
