Stacey Dooley Wins “Oscar” Award and Shares Heartwarming Note from Daughter

Stacey Dooley recently shared an exciting post on Instagram, announcing that she has won an “Oscar” award. The journalist and TV presenter has recently taken to the West End stage in the play 2:22 A Ghost Story.

In her Instagram post, Stacey uploaded a photo of a knock-off version of the famous Academy Award trophy, along with a sweet note written by her daughter, Minnie. She captioned the photo, “Guys. I won an Oscar. And it was hand delivered.”

The note from her daughter read, “To Mummy, we are so proud of you. Love you, Minnie. XXX.” Many of Stacey’s 1.1 million followers couldn’t help but react to the adorable message, reports Daily Express.

One follower commented, “Saw the play today at the matinée. You were fabulous. Please do it again!!! Met your mum outside the stage door. Such a lovely family and so proud of you. Deservedly so. Now go rest with that baby!!!”

Another added, “You deserve it, currently in the audience watching the show. You are smashing it.” A third follower wrote, “You were incredible at 2:22 this evening! So glad we got to watch the last performance!”

The Luton-born star has recently taken on the role of Jenny, a character previously played by Cheryl and Lily Allen. The play has also featured stars such as pop singer Matt Willis, Harry Potter’s Tom Felton, EastEnders actor Jake Wood, and podcast host Giovanna Fletcher.

Fans were delighted with the news and flocked to the comments section to express their admiration. One person said, “I came to opening night and you were amazing and I’ll definitely be back again soon.”

Before her stage debut, Stacey gained widespread recognition as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, which she later went on to win. She originally shot to fame as an investigative journalist, delving into hard-hitting topics.

Her shows, such as Sex In Strange Places, Stacey On The Frontline, Young Sex For Sale In Japan, and Canada’s Lost Girls, have tackled social issues like prostitution, child sexual exploitation, and anti-abortion camps.

Stacey’s journey is inspiring; she dropped out of school at 15 to become a hairdressing assistant but got her big break at 20 as a participant in the 2008 documentary Blood, Sweat and T-Shirts. Now, her achievements continue to resonate with her fans and followers, who celebrate her success and dedication.
