King Charles Sends Birthday Gift to Princess Lilibet Amidst Ongoing Feud

Princess Lilibet celebrates her third birthday today, marking the occasion with a grand celebration at her Montecito residence in California. Her parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, hosted a special event for their closest friends and family, though the Royal Family was notably absent from the guest list due to ongoing tensions.

Despite the family rift, King Charles made a point to acknowledge his youngest granddaughter on her special day. According to royal commentator Tom Quinn, the King sent a thoughtful gift and message to Princess Lilibet. “King Charles had no intention of completely ignoring Lilibet’s birthday, so he has sent a gift along with a message,” Quinn revealed to The Mirror.

However, it appears the monarch is reserving a particularly special present for a future time when the family feud has finally settled. Quinn added, “He gave Prince George a beautiful hand-made wooden swing with George’s name carved on it and he has plans to give something similar to Lilibet but not this year. And not unless and until the family feud dies down.”

The birthday bash for the young royal was far from a low-key affair. Celebrities, including neighbors Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, attended the event with their daughter Daisy, who is just a few months older than Lilibet. “Rather than go for a low-key celebration, Harry and Meghan spent the past weekend enjoying a pre-birthday bash for their daughter Lilibet’s third birthday,” Quinn noted. “Hugely expensive presents have been ruled out, but the couple’s mansion in California was awash with celebrities.”

Other famous neighbors such as Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Oprah Winfrey also live close by to the Sussexes’ mansion, adding to the star-studded potential guest list.

One notable detail about the celebration was the absence of invitations to the Royal Family. “Shockingly, no invitations to Lilibet’s party were issued to members of the Royal Family,” Quinn stated. An old army friend of Harry’s shared some insight, saying, “Harry knew they wouldn’t come anyway, and he was pretty sure he would not have wanted them there. But he is really sad that Archie and Lilibet cannot have any kind of relationship with their cousins while his feud with his family continues.”

This year’s birthday is not the first time Lilibet has celebrated without the broader Royal Family. Last year, she reunited with them during the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which coincided with her first birthday. The family held an intimate backyard picnic at Frogmore Cottage to mark the occasion.

As Princess Lilibet celebrates her third birthday, the gesture from King Charles serves as a small bridge amidst the ongoing family tensions, hinting at a hope for future reconciliation.
