Bradford Revenge Shooting Leaves One Man Critically Injured, Two Jailed

In a harrowing daylight shooting in Bradford, motivated by revenge, Nathan Scott, 32, inflicted serious injuries on two men, leading to his imprisonment for over 16 years. The incident, which unfolded in the Fagley area last July, saw Scott enlisting the help of 20-year-old motorbike rider Tommy Lupton to locate his intended victims.

Both Scott and Lupton faced charges related to firearms offences and section 18 wounding assault, with their actions resulting in one victim suffering minor injuries and the other experiencing life-altering harm. The more severely injured victim remains hospitalized, facing significant health challenges including the inability to breathe unaided, Reported by “BBC“.

During the sentencing at Bradford Crown Court, Judge Jonathon Rose highlighted the severity of Scott’s threats to his victims, emphasizing the retaliatory nature of the attack. Scott’s conviction encompasses possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Lupton, who has since turned 21, received an eight-year and three-month sentence for his involvement in the crime.

Judge Rose pointed out the premeditated aspect of the shooting, attributing it to a feud among individuals engaged in criminal activities. He condemned the act as a calculated response to a perceived disrespect towards Scott’s family.

The case has drawn attention to the broader issue of firearm-related violence and its impact on community safety. Detective Chief Inspector Guy Shackleton expressed satisfaction with the court’s decision, underscoring the gravity of the attack and the ongoing critical condition of one of the victims.
