Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation Faces Uncertain Future Amidst Staff Departures

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step down from their royal duties in 2020 and embarked on a new chapter of their lives in the United States, establishing their company and foundation, Archewell.

Archewell entered into a significant collaboration with the global streaming giant Netflix, which led to the launch of the immensely popular docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.” In addition to this, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex secured a substantial deal with Spotify, although it came to an unexpected halt in June of the previous year, following just one season of Meghan’s podcast, per The Daily Mail.

Amidst financial setbacks and the uncertainty surrounding their multi-million-dollar deals, speculation suggests that Harry and Meghan are contemplating a potential transition away from Archewell in favor of exploring opportunities with Paramount Pictures.

Recently, the couple made headlines when they jetted off to Jamaica to attend the premiere of the Bob Marley biopic, and reports indicated that this luxurious, all-expense-paid trip may hint at a collaboration with the entertainment conglomerate.

Over the past 14 months, Archewell has experienced a series of senior staff departures, with the most recent exit occurring just a day ago, as reported by the NY Post.

One of the notable departures includes Bennett Levine, who resigned from his position on Tuesday. He initially joined Archewell as a coordinator in 2021 and was subsequently promoted to a managerial role in the following year.

Mandana Dayani served as the President of Archewell from 2021 to 2022 before departing after a relatively short 18-month tenure.

Rebecca Sananes initially hired to produce Meghan’s podcast “Archetypes” in 2021, was eventually replaced by media executive Serena Regan.

In 2023, Fara Taylor also decided to step down from her position as the head of marketing at Archewell, coinciding with the departure of Ben Browning, who served as the head of internal content.

While there have been no official statements or comments on the matter, the future trajectory of Archewell remains uncertain, leaving room for speculation and anticipation within the public sphere.
