46-Year-Old Adriano Repetti Receives 4-Year Sentence for Assaulting Women on London-Cambridge Trains

A 46-year-old man, Adriano Repetti, has been sentenced to four years and three months in prison for sexually assaulting four women on trains traveling between London and Cambridge.

Repetti targeted lone women, trapping them against the window and pretending to be asleep while inappropriately touching them. One victim bravely reported the incident by texting the British Transport Police (BTP) during an attack on a train from Cambridge to Kings Cross on August 28. Officers promptly arrested Repetti upon the train’s arrival at Kings Cross.

In a fortunate turn of events, another woman who witnessed Repetti’s arrest came forward, revealing that she had also been assaulted by him on August 19. This revelation highlighted how a single report can contribute crucial evidence and secure justice for multiple victims, according to the BTP.

Further investigation revealed that Repetti had targeted a 25-year-old woman on July 22 and sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman on August 23. Detectives suspect that there may be additional victims and encourage them to come forward, told Evening Standard.

During his police interview, Repetti admitted his actions but showed no remorse, claiming he did not intentionally target women. Repetti, residing in Manor Way, Fulbourn, pleaded guilty at Inner London Crown Court on September 27.

Last Tuesday, he was sentenced to four years and three months in prison for sexual assault by penetration and seven months in prison for sexual assault by touching, to be served concurrently. Additionally, Repetti received a seven-year sexual harm prevention order prohibiting him from sitting near lone women on any form of public transport in the United Kingdom. Violating this order would result in him being sent back to prison.

Detective Constable Mark Luker emphasized the trauma inflicted on Repetti’s victims and commended their courage in coming forward. He warned potential offenders, stating that British Transport Police is vigilant day and night, and offenders will not escape justice.
