Wuka’s New Menopause Sleepwear Promises to End Night Sweats and Hot Flushes for Restful Nights

Wuka, a brand celebrated for sustainable period care and advancements in women’s health, has launched a groundbreaking sleepwear collection designed to alleviate menopause symptoms, specifically targeting hot flushes and night sweats. Known as the Wuka Sleepwear for Menopause collection, this line offers a tailored solution for women experiencing menopause, aimed at bringing them relief and comfort during nighttime.

Hot flushes, one of the most common and disruptive symptoms of menopause, impact around 80 percent of menopausal women. These symptoms can trigger night sweats and frequent awakenings, which significantly disturb sleep. For many women, this leads to severe impacts on mental health, productivity, and general well-being, as the body’s ability to regulate temperature is affected by hormonal changes associated with menopause. The new sleepwear collection directly tackles these issues through Wuka’s innovative Freshtech Technology. Scientifically proven to cool the body, this technology helps reduce body temperatures by up to 2.5°C, making it easier to manage the discomfort of night sweats. The fabric also wicks away moisture swiftly, creating a cooler and more comfortable sleep environment.

The collection includes two styles: a jersey shorts and T-shirt set and a jersey T-shirt dress, both made from Lyocell fabric. This sustainable material is renowned for its moisture-wicking and breathable properties, providing a solution for women suffering from overheating. Lyocell is also ultra-soft, hypoallergenic, and 50 times more absorbent than cotton, which enhances its cooling effect and ensures that the body remains at an optimal temperature throughout the night. Beyond its cooling and moisture-wicking properties, the fabric offers natural antibacterial qualities, preventing the growth of odor-causing bacteria. The sleepwear is lightweight and versatile, making it suitable not only for sleeping but also as comfortable loungewear.

Ruby Raut, Wuka’s founder, commented on the motivation behind the collection: “Over 40 percent of Wuka customers are in the perimenopausal to menopausal stage of life, and a significant number cite hot flashes as a major cause of disturbed sleep, especially as they approached menopause. Our research into these challenges led us to develop a range of sleepwear that directly addresses the cooling needs of menopausal women. Accredited by GenM, we’re proud to offer a solution that improves their quality of life by ensuring a good night’s sleep, free from the discomfort of night sweats and overheating.”

The collection is supported by recent findings from GenM, a prominent menopause partner for brands, highlighting the growing demand for products that cater specifically to menopausal women. According to GenM’s research, 87 percent of menopausal women feel overlooked by brands and society, and a remarkable 97 percent believe that brands should do more to meet their needs during menopause. Wuka’s commitment to addressing these needs demonstrates an awareness of the importance of inclusive products in the wellness space, particularly for women navigating life transitions.
