Woman Pretends to Murder Her Partner in Wild Prank on Delivery Driver

A woman from Coventry took prank culture to a whole new level when she staged a fake murder scene just to mess with a delivery driver — and TikTok has completely lost it over the clip.

Veronika Mirgova, 32, spotted a viral prank online and thought, why not give it a go herself? With the help of her partner, Alexandru Ion, also 32, the mum-of-two recreated the drama with a dark twist — wrapping Alexandru in ketchup-smeared bedsheets, taping him up like a “body”, and dragging him down the hallway just in time to answer the door.

The poor delivery driver didn’t know what hit him. As soon as he arrived, Veronika casually told him, “I killed him,” then asked for help to “throw him in the bushes.” Unsurprisingly, the man froze, backed away, and quickly said, “I don’t want to get involved.” Cue the big reveal — it was all a prank.

Veronika, who creates content full-time, admitted her partner wasn’t totally on board at first. “I asked my partner to do the prank, and he said no originally,” she said. “He said it might give someone a heart attack!”

But she promised they’d confess the second things got too intense, and in the end, Alexandru gave in. “When we did it, the delivery driver was just stood there with the food in his hands. We told him as soon as he panicked, and he was laughing after that — he said we ‘really got him’. I thought he might be angry but he said it was a good prank and I tipped him afterwards because I felt sorry.”

The couple say the same delivery driver has since returned to their house twice — and yes, Veronika’s tipped him both times, just in case he’s still recovering.

Alexandru, who usually takes a more chilled approach to their content, admitted: “At the start I didn’t want to do it and put someone into a panic. Veronica does more daring stuff and normally I’m more chilled. But in the end, I had to go with it! The week after it happened, we ordered something from McDonald’s and the same guy came. He thanked us because everyone knew who he is now!”

The prank, filmed in August 2024, has since racked up more than eight million views on TikTok, with commenters absolutely loving the wild, slightly unhinged energy of it all.

“This is the best thing I’ve seen on TikTok,” one person wrote, while another joked, “He was like ‘I better get out of here before I’m next.’” Someone else chimed in with, “You should have said [the body] ‘was the last delivery driver who delivered the food which was cold.’”

Safe to say, the internet’s obsessed — though maybe not everyone delivering takeaways in Coventry will be knocking on Veronika’s door without a quick glance through the peephole first.
