William’s Leadership Echoes Prince Philip ‘Ruling with a Rod of Iron

Prince William, the Prince of Wales, is reportedly poised to adopt a governance style reminiscent of his late grandfather, Prince Philip, when he ascends the British throne. A source claimed that William will likely rule “with a rod of iron,” echoing the disciplinarian approach of Prince Philip.

This revelation comes as the Prince of Wales navigates numerous personal and public challenges, including his father King Charles’ and wife Kate Middleton’s cancer battles while maintaining his royal duties and raising their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The source told the Daily Beast that William’s leadership has already begun to show similarities to Prince Philip’s. “There is a sense that William has stepped into the Prince Philip role. Philip ruled the family with a rod of iron, and you saw when he died that discipline collapsed. Now William is calling the shots when it comes to family discipline. He can be scary!” the tipster revealed.

One of the most notable aspects of William’s assertive approach is his alleged enforcement of an “absolute ban” on Prince Harry’s return to the royal fold. The Prince of Wales is reportedly adamant about not welcoming his younger brother back into the family in any capacity. The source noted that William’s refusal to communicate with Harry “tells you everything you need to know about who is really in charge”, via GB News.

Earlier this year, there were reports that Prince Harry had offered to temporarily resume his royal duties following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis. However, both the King and William reportedly stood firm against this proposal. An unnamed source told the Daily Mail, “Have the King and Harry been speaking? Yes. Does this mean a return to the fold, even on a temporary basis? No. Aside from a small number of investitures, the King does not plan to offload a great number of duties on other family members while he undergoes treatment.”

Irish journalist Kevin O’Sullivan of TalkTV supported these claims, stating that neither King Charles nor Prince William desired Harry’s return. “He’s never coming back, and not only does William not want him back, nor does the king,” O’Sullivan asserted.

Additionally, a source told Closer that Prince Harry had hoped to join his family at this year’s Trooping the Colour. Despite his efforts to secure an invitation, he was reportedly left “heartbroken and confused by the way they’ve cut him off.”

Prince William’s ascension to the throne is still in the future, but his current actions indicate a shift towards a more stringent leadership style within the royal family. His popularity, as reflected by a recent Daily Beast poll, underscores his strong public support. William leads the poll with a 67% approval rating and 97% fame, surpassing even King Charles.

William’s firm stance and disciplinarian approach suggest a significant change in royal governance, drawing parallels to Prince Philip’s era. As he prepares for his future role, his leadership style is becoming increasingly evident, marking a new chapter for the British monarchy.
