Prince William makes huge sacrifice for Kate Middleton’s mental health

Prince William has made a significant sacrifice by giving up riding his motorbike, largely due to safety concerns voiced by his wife, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

Kate first expressed her fears for William’s safety back in 2015, admitting that his love for motorcycles “fills me with horror.” She also hoped to prevent their eldest son, Prince George, from picking up the same habit. At the time, she said, “He’s still riding it. It always fills me with horror when he goes out on it. I’m terrified. Hopefully, I’m going to keep George off it.”

In recent years, William, who has always been known for his adventurous spirit, has become more cautious since becoming a father. According to The Mirror, he has now shifted from motorcycles to an e-scooter to get around the Windsor estate.

In 2018, William acknowledged that he had toned down his thrill-seeking tendencies, explaining that fatherhood had influenced his decision. “I’m a dad of three. I have to tone it down,” he shared. He also admitted missing the camaraderie of biking trips, saying, “I miss the big trips, for me biking was always about being with everybody else.”

William’s decision to swap his motorbike for an e-scooter is not only motivated by safety but also by his environmental consciousness. Living just three miles from Windsor Castle, he prefers using the e-bike to reduce driving and his environmental impact.

This shift in lifestyle reflects William’s growing sense of responsibility as a father and his commitment to protecting both his family and the planet.
