“Don’t Even Go There”: ITV This Morning viewers issue complaint minutes into show as star drops C-bomb

This Morning viewers warned ITV producers “don’t even go there” as they tuned into the latest episode of the show.

Fans of the daytime program were left reeling when hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle opened Wednesday’s (August 7) show with jingle bells chiming and mentioned “Christmas in August,” leaving online viewers fuming within the opening minutes.

The hashtag on Twitter, now known as X, was filled with similar comments as fans expressed their frustration over the festive content while summer was still in full swing.

One person tweeted, “#ThisMorning omg on about Christmas already are u lot on drugs,” while another echoed, “Christmas? Isn’t it currently still summer right now + we’re in August as well? #ThisMorning.”

A third warned, “Do not even go there,” followed by an angry emoji face. A fourth chimed in with, “Great, Christmas in August lol #ThisMorning.”

Away from the program, Craig Doyle, 53, became a talking point after he suddenly deleted his Instagram account this week. The Irish star, who has stepped into front of the show alongside Josie Gibson during the summer period, has left fans puzzled, told The Mirror.

Craig, known for regularly updating his social media, has mysteriously vanished from Instagram. A search for his account now results in error messages such as “This page isn’t available” or “User not found.” Various media outlets have reported this as “odd,” given his prominent role on the ITV program this week.

Craig and Josie are currently standing in for the usual hosts, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who are taking a summer break. Despite the online uproar over the Christmas segment, the hosts continue to engage viewers with a mix of content throughout the summer period.
