Susanna Reid Leaves Robert Jenrick Squirming in Fiery GMB Showdown

Susanna Reid had viewers clapping from their sofas after she grilled Robert Jenrick live on Good Morning Britain in a fiery Monday morning interview. The MP had gone viral over the weekend thanks to a video showing him challenging Londoners who were dodging fares on the Tube, but it wasn’t just ticket evasion that got people talking.
During the clip, a man implied he had a knife, clearly trying to scare Jenrick off. But instead of backing away from that alarming moment, Jenrick kept his focus on fare dodging. That decision didn’t sit well with Susanna, reported the Daily Record.
Taking him to task during the show, she zeroed in on the fact that he hadn’t reported the knife threat. “Somebody told you that they were carrying a knife on the London Underground and you didn’t report it to the police,” she challenged. You could hear the disbelief in her voice as she laid out the risk this posed to other passengers.
She added, “I travel on the tube, my kids travel on the tube, and someone has just told you, a former shadow minister, someone who is concerned about policing and obeying the law, you’re worried about fare-dodging, I’m worried about people carrying knives, and you didn’t report it to the police?”
Jenrick tried to brush it off, saying he “didn’t feel the need” to tell the police and insisted, “It’s not about me.” But Susanna wasn’t buying it. “I don’t want to be disrespectful to you, you made it all about you,” she shot back. “The video was literally all about you – it’s you walking around tube stations, confronting people.”
She called out what many were already saying online — that his excuse didn’t add up. “So to say that you didn’t report what was said to you because you’re saying you didn’t want to make it all about you is disingenuous.”
And viewers were loving it. Social media lit up with praise for Susanna, with one person saying, “Brilliant watching him get torn apart.” Others called her “brilliant” and slammed Jenrick for seeming more concerned about fare dodging than knife crime. “This is why the country is in such a mess,” one viewer posted. “Absolutely disgusting. More concerned with fare dodging than the lives of citizens!”
Another simply said, “Jenrick was owned and humiliated.” Someone else added, “Good on you, Susanna, holding him accountable.”
Elsewhere in the show, things took a cheeky turn when the conversation drifted into OnlyFans territory. British canoeist Kurts Adams Rozentals was on to talk about how he’s now making a six-figure income through the platform, even though he’s facing a sporting ban over his online activity.
Ed Balls joked, “We are in the wrong jobs!” prompting Andrew Pierce to ask if Ed was considering becoming an OnlyFans model. The banter spiralled quickly, with suggestions of niche markets and shared ventures, until Susanna jumped in laughing: “This is going in a whole different direction!”
Even Kevin Maguire got caught up in the chaos, chuckling “Blimey!” as Susanna pulled it back on track. “We are still on air, guys!” she reminded them — and with that, live TV struck again.
