Stacey Solomon Quips About ‘Estranged’ Husband Joe Swash as Panto Rehearsals Take Over

Stacey Solomon addressed the swirling rumors about Joe Swash’s absence from the Moana 2 premiere in London, where she attended with their three youngest children—Rex, 5, Rose, 3, and Belle, 1. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Sort Your Life Out presenter lightheartedly clarified her husband’s whereabouts.

“Home sweet home with my husband who has been ‘estranged’… He’s doing panto this year which the kids are so excited about. I can’t wait to see their faces,” she shared, according to Hello! Magazine.

Joe, currently in daily rehearsals for his role as Flip Flop in a Beauty and the Beast pantomime at The Grove in Dunstable, has a packed schedule. Stacey explained, “He’s in rehearsals now every day until he starts, and then he doesn’t finish until like the 7th of January. So between the hours of 6 in the morning when he leaves and 8pm at night when he gets back, we don’t get to see him.”

Adding his trademark humor, Joe promised, “I will come home one night in my costume and surprise you.”

Joe’s role as Flip Flop in Beauty and the Beast follows a history of pantomime performances, including roles as Buttons in Cinderella and appearances in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Although he joked, “I’ve never quite made it to Prince Charming level yet,” he shared his excitement about the upcoming production, particularly for his kids. “At Christmas, that’s the best character. My kids are going to come down, and I’m going to make sure they all laugh,” he said.

When he’s not on stage, Joe cherishes time with his and Stacey’s growing family. Together, they are proud parents to Rex, Rose, and Belle, while Stacey has two older sons, Zachary and Leighton, from previous relationships. Joe also shares a teenage son, Harry, with his ex-partner Emma Sophocleous.

The couple’s love story began in 2016 after crossing paths on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010. Reflecting on their first meeting, Joe told Metro in 2021, “We’ve got a long history. We both went on it, we both won it, and we both worked on it. We met each other on it!”

Since tying the knot in 2022, Stacey and Joe have been raising their family in their idyllic Tudor-style home, Pickle Cottage, which boasts sprawling gardens, a swimming pool, and picture-perfect interiors—a fitting backdrop for their modern family fairytale.
